About Our Grapevine Acupuncturist
Dr. Sunny Han, DACM, L.Ac
Hailing from a venerable lineage of healers in South Korea, Sunny H, carries forward a family legacy that spans five generations. This profound heritage, steeped in compassion and an unwavering dedication to the well-being of others, has been the cornerstone of Sunny's journey in the healing arts. Inspired by the rich stories and practices of their
ancestors, Sunny embarked on a quest that transcended borders, leading them to the United States to explore a myriad of cultures and healing methodologies.
Beginning this journey with a solid foundation in Western medical science, Sunny graduated with a degree in biology from Ohio State University. This academic pursuit laid the groundwork for a deep understanding of health and healing from a Western perspective. Yet, as Sunny neared the completion of their undergraduate studies, a compelling interest in
the integration of traditional and natural healing methods with contemporary medical practices emerged. This passion led Sunny to the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) in Boston, MA, where they obtained a Master's in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Sunny's educational journey was further enriched by a series of internships, including a significant stint at the Herbs Clinic at Harvard University, where they assisted patients undergoing chemotherapy. These experiences not only solidified Sunny's belief in the efficacy of acupuncture and herbal treatments but also highlighted the potential of these
traditional practices to complement modern medical treatments.
For the past seven years, Sunny has been a pivotal figure at Chiro and Acupuncture Inc., where their practice has seen remarkable growth. Specializing in women's health, Sunny addresses issues related to menstruation, menopause, and hormonal imbalances with expertise. Their practice also extends to cosmetic acupuncture for facial rejuvenation and
weight control, offering patients natural alternatives for beauty and wellness.
Sunny holds a Master's degree in Oriental Medicine from NESA and boasts certifications from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and Auriculotherapy. Their journey from South Korea to the United States has been a testament to discovery, learning, and the application of a broad spectrum of healing
practices. Deeply committed to the health and well-being of their patients, Sunny offers a holistic, compassionate, and informed approach to healing, embodying the legacy of their ancestors while paving the way for future generations.
